Sometimes a website gets new content, but your browser insists on showing you the old version. It's like turning up to a cinema and finding last week's film still playing!
If refreshing the page doesn't help, clearing your cache can often do the trick. This forces your browser to fetch the latest version of the website, so you'll see the most up-to-date content.
Safari (Mac)
- Open Safari.
- Click Safari in the menu bar and select Settings (or Preferences).
- Go to the Privacy tab.
- Click Manage Website Data.
- Click Remove All and confirm.
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome.
- Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Select Clear browsing data.
- Choose a time range (we recommend All time).
- Tick Cached images and files.
- Click Clear data.
Microsoft Edge
- Open Edge.
- Click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Go to Privacy, search, and services.
- Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
- Select a time range (we recommend All time).
- Tick Cached images and files.
- Click Clear now.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Firefox.
- Click the menu button (☰) in the top-right corner.
- Select History → Clear Recent History.
- Choose Everything from the time range dropdown.
- Tick Cache.
- Click Clear Now.
